My name is Vonnie I'm an artist living and working in my studio/gallery on Magnetic Island, where I paint in oils, watercolours and pastels. This website and gallery hosts a cross-section of my work. Most of my subjects are a direct reflection of the surroundings; the wildlife, views characters, flora and fauna, all magnificently available in its’ natural form or habitat.

Location painting is my preferred method, carrying a simple easel, canvas and brushes, I can often be seen out in the bush, capturing the light and feel of a certain place, maybe high up in the hills, or down on the beach. Chasing, racing with time and nature, to put it down onto canvas, the colours of dawn or sunrise as it changes rapidly.

Many tourists and locals alike, visit in my studio, where they can either purchase original works; choose from a wide selection of cards & fridge magnets, or learn to paint themselves as students in selected art classes.
